To the ladies that were blessed to attend the Louisville "Living Proof Live" event (and simulcast):
Please, for those of us who could not attend, post how things went. I want details, details and more details.
Thanks!
Cheri

It was a great weekend! I'm not sure which got to me more ... the worship or Beth's teaching. Both were equally electric to me.
Beth talked on Luke 8 and the parable of the sower. The goal: For each of us to learn how we can have a 100-fold harvest, or maximum impact. And if she can get 70,000 women thinking that way (number in all the sites), imagine what could happen.
So the 7 points of the talks ...
1. Treasure the wonder.
(We are privy to the mysteries of God.)
2. Protect your heart.
(Don't let Satan steal your word.)
3. Expect the test.
4. Dig the roots.
(Roots are found in love. Take root below and you'll bear fruit above. We have to know, know, know how much God loves us. It's the only thing that will get you through the testing.)
5. Stop the choke.
(Anxiety chokes the word out of us. Don't be scared of the pain. Passion comes from the pain.)
6. Retain the Word.
(And sow the seed in the morning. Grrr. A little conviction there. Mix up old and new.)
7. Press forth to your 100-fold.
(We live in an instant-messenger, we-want-it-now society but a harvest takes time. Keep pressing on.)
And can I just say how fun it is to see that woman's energy and passion. She told a little of her story and it's amazing what God has done with her life. Of course, you all know that. But she is a live-wire!
The worship had several songs that grabbed me. One of my favorites was the "Revelation Song." There's a version of it on YouTube with a different singer.
I'm sorry you guys missed it. If there's ever another one close by, go. Well worth it.
Patty did a great job in her comment recapping the event. If you go to ulcardsfan.blogspot.com I have a post about the weekend titled NUMBERS. You can read about the Ky. Siestas that I met there. Love, LINDA
I had such a great time!! Patty did a wonderful job of recapping.
It was great meeting Katie, Karen, Amy and Linda (sorry I missed you Patty). So sad too that Cheri was out of town.
Quick question for Karen--I bought 2 studies at the bookstore and found out when I brought them home that they are on VHS instead of DVD. Can I bring them to any Lifeway to exchange them? I don't even own a VHS player anymore.
So glad you are back Cheri! Thanks for starting this thread.
Blessings,
Traci
Thanks for your input, gals! I DO wish I was there last weekend to fellowship with those that attended. I can't wait until the LPM or TCM blog posts the recap pictures. Maybe I'll see some of you. Let me know if you are in any of the pictures. Funny thing, Travis Cottrell was singing in Destin the day before I arrived there and was actually swimming in the ocean on the weekend I arrived (see TCM blog). The jellys were bad and evidently the sharks too
:-)....we didn't see any sharks though. Yvonne, did any of your group get stung by jellyfish? We did.
It was great to hear from Patty and Linda again! And from Amy last week!
I don't know about you, but I'm finding the discussion questions this week were kind of difficult to respond to. Are you having problems too? But, I just finished working back to back 12 hour shifts (part of my punishment for taking off for vacation), so my brain/body is tired...maybe it's the travel and post vacation blahs :-)
I know that Karen and I have mentioned this before, but you've got to check out the "Gods of War" series that Kyle Idleman is preaching at SEC. It's going right along with the NOG study. He preached the last message this past Sunday, but all four sermons are on the Southeast Christian website, www.southeastchristian.org
Well, I must get some sleep.
Again, thanks for recounting your experiences. I hope to attend a LPM event soon. Makes me want to travel to New England this Fall...just kidding!
